Color
The printer uses CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black). If a Pantone color or other specific color is needed, please let us know when you submit the order. If files are submitted in RGB, color shifting may occur. An additional fee maybe be charged for this color swatching process. *Colors do vary from screen to print. Color output will also vary for different printing processes.
Layers
Please DELETE any additional layers that do not contain print, cut contour lines, or drill holes.
Cut/Contour Lines
The ARTBOARD is the default shape the print will be cut to. For square cut projects, make the artboard size the finished project size. For Cut Contour projects, create an outline representing the cut shape. Please create a stroke of 0.25 pt. Place this on a new layer, rename the layer “CutContour”, make it a spot color (C=0, M=100, Y=0, K=0) and place on the top layer of your artboard.
Drill Holes
For projects that have a drill holes: create the circle drill holes at the exact finished size. Please add a stroke of 0.25 pt. Make the drill hole stroke color a spot color (C=100, M=0, Y=0, K=0) and rename it "Drill Holes". Place this on a new layer, rename the layer “Drill Holes”. Be sure this new layer is above your cut contour and artwork layer. You must have a cut contour line include in the artwork file for the system to recognize the edges. **IMPORTANT NOTE: The CutContour line and Drill Holes will ONLY work if it is a VECTOR. If you are using Photoshop the system will NOT be able to read the lines.**
Hemming
When adding a hem to your artwork, a 1 inch margin must be added to all sides. This margin must be within the artboard. If the artwork is full bleed, we recommend extending the graphic into the 1 inch hem area. A fold line must also be added to the artwork to ensure proper hemming. To create a fold line, add a box that is the finished banner size to the perimeter of the design and make its stroke outline 0.25 pt.
Borders
Borders are able to be printed but not recommended since borders vary from batch to batch and in effect make exact cuts difficult. We will not reprint an order with borders of varying widths.
